I’ve been in your shoes. In the late 1980s, I ran a business in California that wasn’t as profitable as it should have been. When the Loma Prieta earthquake hit, I was unprepared—no emergency fund, cash flow dried up overnight, and I made decisions that set me back for years. If I had known about Profit First back then, my business would have survived the disaster in much better shape. I likely would have saved my credit, avoided years of debt, and had the financial reserves to navigate the crisis with confidence.
That experience taught me painful but valuable lessons, and I made it my mission to ensure other business owners never have to go through the same struggles. A Personal Connection to the Trades
Growing up, I worked alongside my father, an electrician, as his helper. He used to call me his “oldest son” because I was always by his side, learning the value of hard work. I know firsthand how dedicated home service professionals are and how often their expertise goes unappreciated.
Today, I live in northern Idaho, running my business from a small town surrounded by mountains, rivers, and lakes. My husband and I love exploring the outdoors, taking scenic drives, and enjoying a simple, fulfilling life—something I want every business owner to have the freedom to do, too.
